Our Story

We Created the Book We Wish Our Grandparents Had Left Behind

 

Annay & Co. began with two sisters, a shared love of beautiful things, and one simple realization... something was missing from our family history, our grandparents' love stories. We never knew how they met, how they fell in love, or the beautiful little details of the lives they built together.

 

 

We didn't know exactly what they thought when they first met. What their first dates were like. The little details surrounding their wedding day. The challenges they faced together, the traditions they created, or the dreams they once had for their future. And we certainly didn't have those memories written in their own handwriting. We wished we did.

 

From an Idea to an Heirloom

We're sisters, Melanie and Gretchen, and when we began creating together in 2023, our original idea looked very different. What started as a concept for a wedding planner eventually became something much more meaningful.

As we talked about marriage, family, memories, and the stories that are passed from one generation to the next, we kept coming back to the same thought: How much would we treasure having our grandparents' love stories today?

Not simply their wedding photographs. Their words.

We imagined opening a beautiful book and reading about the moment they first met in their own handwriting. Seeing a photograph from their first years together beside the story behind it. Reading about the life they dreamed of creating and knowing, generations later, how that story unfolded.

That was the moment Two Hearts – A Love Story truly began.

 

More Than a Journal

 

 

We spent months thoughtfully writing, designing, and refining Two Hearts to become something we couldn't find anywhere else.

We wanted a place for couples to write. A place for photographs. A place for the little pieces of a life together that deserve to be kept. And most importantly, we wanted it to be beautiful and substantial enough to remain in a family for generations.

The result is part guided journal, part photo album, and part keepsake thoughtfully designed to tell the story of two people and the life they create together.

From the first meeting and early dates to the proposal, wedding, honeymoon, traditions, milestones, challenges, and dreams for the future, every chapter was created with one purpose: To preserve the stories photographs alone cannot tell.

 

Two Sisters. One Shared Name.

 

Even the name Annay & Co. carries a piece of our own family story.

Although we live thousands of miles apart, we've always shared something special, including the middle name Ann. Annay was inspired by that connection and became the name behind a company rooted in something we both deeply value: family, love, memory, and the stories that connect generations.

Today, we continue to build Annay & Co. together as sisters, creating from opposite sides of the country while sharing one vision.

 

For the Stories Yet to Be Told

 

 

We believe every couple has a story worth remembering. Not because every moment is extraordinary. But because someday, the ordinary details may become the most extraordinary ones to the people who love you.

The way you met. The things that made you laugh. The traditions you created. The life you built. The words you wrote to one another along the way.
